Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: DishHome Go App, the official broadcast partner of Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025, has been able to show more than 200,000 viewers in the opening match of the match between Janakpur Bolts and Kathmandu Gorkha. DishHome Go has achieved a historic milestone by telecasting NPL live across the globe (excluding India). Viewership, technically known as “concurrent viewership”, testifies to DishHome Go’s readiness and technical capabilities.
According to DishHome, some users were unable to watch the live broadcast in the opening game. The problem stems not just from DishHome Go, but because of a systemic process involving multiple stakeholders. In particular, the technical complexities of purchasing an NPL Season Pass subscription caused inconvenience to iOS users, while Android users were able to subscribe and watch the live broadcast.
DishHome Go app engineers and experts from world-class affiliates are constantly working on the problem, which solves a lot of problems on day one and from day two, iOS users will be able to watch live matches by subscribing to NPL Season Pass.
Similarly, almost all technical challenges were successfully solved on the second and third days. Thousands of requests received through official channels of DishHome Go were activated from the system all at once. In addition, it has also said that the refund process has started for customers who have made double payments.
To ensure further convenience, arrangements have been made to purchase NPL season pass vouchers through Khalti and eSewa from Wednesday. The vouchers purchased from Khalti and eSewa can only be used in Nepal. The company has provided the facility to purchase as many vouchers as per their requirement and it will make it easier for family and friends to access NPL through their mobile phones.
For the first time in Nepal’s history, DishHome Go has established its identity as the Nepalese company providing full mobile sports streaming through a mobile app. In doing so, DishHome Go has now embarked on a journey that transcends national boundaries to become a world-class live streaming platform, securing its place in the list of popular streaming services across the globe.
An official spokesperson of DishHome Go app said, “The technical challenges we faced were not only related to our process but also to various stakeholders involved. This is the reason why on the first day, to give a smooth experience to all the users, the free viewing arrangement was arranged, and about 2 lakh viewers were able to watch it easily. From the second and third days, everyone will be able to watch the live broadcast with a full subscription. We consider this achievement as a historic achievement in the field of live broadcasting in Nepal. In this context, we apologize for the inconvenience caused to the audience and promise to refund the repeated payments. “
