Kathmandu. NMB Bank Limited has signed an agreement with Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter and Visa to expand the use of NMB Softshop.
SoftPOS is a new technology that will allow merchants to accept digital card payments from their NFC-enabled Android smartphone without the need for a physical machine. PATA Nepal Chapter primarily represents the stakeholders of the tourism sector, including Hotels, Travel Agencies, Airlines, etc. Through this partnership, NMB Bank aims to make its members tech-savvy.
By using NMB SoftPous, PATA members will be able to make their payment process more convenient, secure and faster. This will help tourists and customers to make payments easily. Increasing use of this technology will increase the volume of digital transactions as well as financial accessibility and help expand the acceptance of modern digital payment methods throughout the tourism sector.
NMB Bank and PATA Nepal Chapter jointly believe this joint effort will further digitally advance Nepal’s tourism industry.
