Kathmandu. What to do if you are unable to use various electronic payment services? In such a situation, many customers immediately contact the concerned bank. However, only a few people know that customers can activate or deactivate electronic payment services on their own.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has issued a public awareness notice today. “With the objective of facilitating the financial customers to freely manage digital payment services, the various electronic payment services that they are using may be deactivated through an authoritative mobile app or web portal if they cannot be used due to various reasons,” the notice reads. g. ’
The central bank has clarified that the concerned banks and financial institutions should make necessary arrangements in their app or web portal for the above services as per the provision of Integrated Directive Related to Payment System, 2081 issued by the Rastra Bank related to the protection of customer interests.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has also suggested that transactions should be done only after getting information about digital banking.
