NIFRA Bail, Dividend Proposed by Board Missing From AGM Agenda

Kathmandu. Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) has deceived its shareholders.

NIFRA has published its Seventh Annual General Meeting (AGM) today. However, the NIFRA Board of Directors meeting held on September 19 did not present the agenda of the dividend proposed to be distributed to the shareholders.

Board of Directors FY 2081. The company has proposed a cash dividend of Rs 2.36 billion to its shareholders with a tax of Rs 21.60 billion. This dividend proposal is nowhere mentioned in the AGM notice issued by NIFRA today.

NIFRA has organized a call at Anupam Foodland and Banquet in Battisputali, Kathmandu on December 9 at 9 am. The AGM will elect 2 directors representing the general shareholders.

The same meeting shall endorse the annual report and the auditor’s report for the said fiscal year. The meeting held the current fiscal year 2082. It will also approve the proposal regarding the appointment of the auditor and the determination of his/her remuneration for Province 83.

NIFRA has decided to close the book on November 26 for the purpose of the meeting. This means that only shareholders who have been established before November 28 will be eligible to participate in the NIFRA meeting.
