Kathmandu. National Insurance Company (NIC) has published its unaudited financial statements for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2082/83. According to the financial statement, most of the company’s indices have fallen.
The company earned a net profit of Rs 3.81 crore in the first quarter. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 18.03 crore in the same quarter of the previous FY.
In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, the company had a special reserve of Rs 1.47 billion. Other equity has Rs 38.32 crore. The amount in the disaster fund is Rs 3.37 crore.
During the review period, the company earned a net profit of Rs 18.62 crores. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 20.20 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s total premium income decreased by 7.82 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
In the review year, the company earned a net insurance premium of Rs 9.14 crore. Compared to the previous fiscal year, the net insurance premium has also decreased. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 11.07 crore in the same quarter last year.
In the review period, the company spent Rs 9.48 crore on reinsurance. The company had spent Rs 9.13 crore in the same period last year.
