Kathmandu. The stock market fell sharply on Monday. The NEPSE index decreased by 5.80 points to close at 2560.29.
Out of the 13 sub-groups in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) sub-group, three have increased while 10 have fallen. The hotel and tourism group was the top gainer on the day, while the finance group fell the most by 0.75 percent.
Shares of 90 companies rose and 151 declined. Shares of 11 companies remained stable on the day.
More than Rs 4.5 billion was traded in the market today. The highest turnover has been done by NRN Infrastructure.
