The NEPSE Board of Directors had given authority to the management committee to seek legal remedy regarding the bonus to be given to the employees. After this, the NEPSE management committee has filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court against the decision of the Ministry of Finance. The petition has been scheduled for hearing on Monday.

Chairman of NEPSE Employees’ Union Nawaraj Thapa said that they were ready to accept the Supreme Court’s decision. “We are confident that the Supreme Court will give a verdict in favour of NEPSE employees,” he said.

For the past few years, NEPSE employees have been demanding 5 percent bonus. However, the Ministry of Finance has been sending letters to distribute only 1 percent bonus to the employees.
