Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 2.6 billion in fixed deposits of banks.
The amount is being invested in the gratuity and pension fund of the central bank in fixed deposits of the banks. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged banks to offer interest rates by 7 pm on November 3.
Out of the total amount, the central bank will invest Rs 2.08 billion in commercial banks, Rs 390 million in national level development banks and Rs 130 million in national level finance companies.
According to the central bank, this investment will be for 366 days from November 9, 2025 to November 9, 2026.
