Kathmandu. Heavy snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and heavy rain at one or two places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces on Thursday.
According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, the low pressure system developed in the Arabian Sea and the cyclone ‘Montha’ which developed in the Bay of Bengal are having some influence in the country at present.
The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country in the morning. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while light to moderate snowfall is taking place at some places of the remaining provinces.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly region including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces with generally cloudy in the afternoon. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces, and at a few places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at few places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area.
On Thursday, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly region including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces while it will be generally cloudy in the Tarai region. Light rain is likely to occur at many places of the hilly region, chances of heavy rainfall at a few places of the Bagmati Province, Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati Provinces, and at a few places of the Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province.
