Kathmandu. The stock market rose marginally in the first trading session after the Tihar holidays. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 5.19 points to close at 2,509.04 on Sunday.
With the rise in the market, 5 sub-groups of NEPSE sub-group increased while 8 sub-groups decreased. On the day, the other groups fell the most by 3.05 percent, while the finance group fell the most by 0.72 percent.
On this day, the share prices of 98 companies increased and 146 companies declined. Today, the share prices of 4 companies are stable.
The market was traded at Rs 2.66 billion today. Nepal Reinsurance Company has made the highest turnover in the country.
