Kathmandu. The Hyatt Regency has announced that it will suspend its service indefinitely after the hotel premises were vandalized and chaotic during the Genji protests on September 24.
A notice issued by the hotel’s human resources director, Mohammad Yusuf Chowdhury, stated that the hotel could not be brought into operation immediately due to the damage caused during the protest and due to security sensitivities.
The five-star hotel Hilton in Naxal was set ablaze on September 10 during the Zenji agitation. The foreign workers returned to India this week, a month after the fire broke out.
