Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has advised people to be careful while using QR codes on digital devices.
The central bank issued a notice today to raise financial awareness. “You need to scan the QR code to send money,” the notice said, “However, you do not need to scan the QR code to receive money.” ’
According to the central bank, the person making the payment has to give his QR code to get the money. “If someone sends you a QR code and asks you to scan the money you are sending money, do not do so,” the notice said. ’
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has suggested to be aware and make digital transactions safer.
