Profit of commercial banks crosses Rs 16.5 billion in two months, whose increase or decrease?

Kathmandu. Commercial banks in the current fiscal year 2082. As of August 2018, the company has earned a profit of more than Rs 16.5 billion.

According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, 20 commercial banks have earned a net profit of Rs 16.59 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year. Last year, 2081. As of mid-August 2018, the bank had earned a net profit of Rs 17.69 billion. In the review period, the profit of the banks decreased by 6.18 percent compared to the previous year.

Global IME Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 1.62 billion in the first quarter of the current FY. It was 3.99 percent more than the previous year. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1,000 crore in the previous year.

Nabil Bank is the second highest profiter. During the review period, the bank earned a net profit of Rs 1,32.71 billion. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1.66 billion in the previous year. In the review period, the bank’s profit has decreased by 20.09 percent compared to the previous year.

Nepal Investment Mega Bank Ltd (NIBL) is in the third position in terms of net profit. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1.41 billion in the same period last year, which declined by 10.51 percent to Rs 1.23 billion in the review period.

Similarly, Kumari Bank, Prime Commercial Bank and NMB Bank earned Rs 1.03 billion in the same period of the current fiscal year. Compared to the previous year, Kumari Bank’s net profit increased by 2.60 percent and that of Prime Commercial Bank by 7.39 percent and NMB Bank by 32.14 percent.

Similarly, Laxmi Sunrise Bank earned a net profit of Rs 97.41 crore, Everest Bank Rs 91.28 crore, Rastriya Banijya Bank Rs 88.58 crore, Siddhartha Bank Rs 84.90 crore, Nepal Bank Rs 84.28 crore and Sanima Bank Rs 72.15 crore. The profit of all these banks has increased compared to the previous year.

Similarly, Prabhu Bank earned a net profit of Rs 676.60 crore, Agricultural Development Bank Rs 58.98 crore, Seasons Bank Rs 55.76 crore, Standard Chartered Bank Rs 53.22 crore and NIC Asia Bank Rs 49.51 crore. The profit of all these banks has decreased compared to the same period last year.

During the same period of the current fiscal year, Machhapuchchhre Bank earned a net profit of Rs 48.19 crore, Himalayan Bank Rs 37.7 crore and Nepal SBI Bank Rs 35.45 crore. Machhapuchchhre Bank’s profit increased compared to the previous year, while the profit of the other two companies declined.
