Kathmandu. Although the number of employees in insurance companies has increased, the number of offices has decreased.
According to the Insurance Authority of Nepal, the number of employees in insurance companies has increased by 516 in the last one year. The number of employees in insurance companies increased from 11,802 in August 2081 to 12,318 in August 2082. The number of employees has increased by 4.37 percent in the last one year.
In the last one year, the number of employees in life insurance has increased by 3.64 percent while that of non-life insurer has increased by 5.09 percent. The number of employees in Life Insurance Company has increased from 5,852 in August 2081 to 6,065 in August 2082. The number of employees in non-life insurance companies has increased from 5,950 in August 2081 to 6,253 in August 2082.
Similarly, the number of life insurance offices has decreased from 1,837 in August 2081 to 1,834 in August 2082. This number decreased by 0.16 percent.
The number of offices of non-life insurers has come down from 1,159 in August 2081 to 1,155 in August 2082. This number decreased by 0.35 percent.
