Kathmandu. Deposits in the banking system increased by Rs 2 billion in a single day on Sunday.
According to the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), deposits stood at Rs 74.42 trillion as of Saturday, up from Rs 74.42 trillion on Sunday. Similarly, credit flow stood at Rs 5.621 trillion as of Saturday.
As of Sunday, deposits of commercial banks have reached Rs 6.69 trillion while loans from commercial banks have reached Rs 49.98 trillion.
The CD ratio has come down to 74.59 percent and the interbank interest rate is 2.75 percent. The CD ratio was 74.62 percent the previous day.
