Kathmandu. The production of electricity from Samling Power Company’s Mai Beni Hydropower Project has come to a complete halt due to floods caused by incessant rains.
Issuing a notice today, the company said that the expected landslide and flood on October 3 caused extensive damage to the physical structures of the 9.51 MW Hydropower Project.
The company said that the damage is being ascertained as the flooding has not stopped completely. Currently, the power generation from Ajojana has been completely halted, according to the company.
