Kathmandu. Janak Raj Sharma, chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA), has assumed charge as the chairman of the NEA today. Earlier today, Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sharma.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on September 22, 2082 has given the responsibility to Sharma to work as the chairman of the Nepal Insurance Authority until further arrangement.
Sharma is currently working under the Ministry of Finance.
Janak Raj Sharma, chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA), stressed on the need of making insurance service more qualitative and reliable in the current difficult situation.
Sharma said, “It is necessary to move ahead in a way to increase the trust of the general public in insurance sector by enhancing the quality of insurance sector as per the spirit of the movement of the new generation and the changing context. ”
Chairman Sharma said, “Insurance companies should make the insurance claim payment process hassle-free and pay the claims on time. ”
Chairman Sharma directed the NEA employees to perform quality and speedy performance with the right intention.
