Kathmandu. Siddhartha Premier Insurance has paid more than Rs 550 million in claims received so far for damages to insured property arising out of the riots during the Genji agitation.
The company has paid Rs 550.8 million as damages caused by riots and arson during the protests on September 9 and 24. This payment has been made by the company for 11 insurance claims.
So far, the company has filed an estimated damage assessment claim of Rs 5.45 billion. According to the company, this total is 322 claims.
The company claims that it will pay the insurance claims as soon as possible. The insured who has not yet been contacted due to property damage has been requested to contact the company’s representatives and help in the claim payment process.
