Liquidity in banks, CD ratio down to 76%

Kathmandu. Deposits in the banking system have increased by Rs 17 billion in a single day. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), deposits stood at Rs 73.06 trillion as of March 14, up from Rs 73.06 trillion on Monday.

Similarly, credit disbursement stood at Rs 5.625 trillion as of Monday and reached Rs 5.627 trillion on Tuesday. Credit flow has increased by Rs 2 billion in a single day.

As of Tuesday, deposits of commercial banks have reached Rs 6.573 trillion and loans from commercial banks have reached Rs 50.04 trillion.

The average CD ratio of banks has come down to 75.89 percent and the interbank interest rate is 2.75 percent. The CD ratio was 76.04 percent the previous day.
