Kathmandu. The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has made public the preliminary details of the insurance claim for the damage caused during the Genji demonstration in Gandaki Province.
According to the Gandaki State Office of NEA, the insurance claims of more than Rs 1.13 billion have been incurred by the insurance companies. According to the office, this insurance claim is based on the data available from the insurers as of September 30.
According to the office, 11 non-life insurance companies and one micro non-life insurance company have been claimed from Gandaki Province worth Rs 1.13 billion. Himalayan Everest Insurance Company has seen the highest claim amount. The company has to pay Rs 500 million for 9 claims.
Similarly, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance has claimed the second highest amount. According to the data, the company has to pay Rs 350 million for 50 claims.
Similarly, the National Insurance Company has to pay Rs 70 million for 20 claims.
