Kathmandu. The interim government led by Sushila Karki has decided to declare those killed in the Jenji youth movement as martyrs.
Taking charge of the office today, Prime Minister Karki has decided to declare those who lost their lives during the Zenji movement as martyrs. The government has also decided to provide Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
According to Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, 59 demonstrators, 10 inmates and three security personnel were killed in the incident.
A total of 134 protesters and 57 police personnel are receiving treatment for the injured.
