Kathmandu. China has made its views public on the recent developments in Nepal and the appointment of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as the Prime Minister of the interim government.
“China respects the independent choice of the Nepali people on the path of development as it always does,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “China and Nepal have long-standing cherished friendship,” the Chinese said, adding, “We are ready to work with Nepal to promote the 5 principles of peaceful coexistence, increase exchanges and cooperation in various fields and further elevate bilateral relations.” ’
China has also congratulated Karki for his appointment as the Prime Minister of the interim government.
