Kathmandu. The stock market will not open for the next week.
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has announced that the share trading will remain closed from September 19 to October 18. This means that the stock market will not open for the next week.
If the situation returns to normal, the stock market will open on Sunday, September 5. This is the day before Dashain’s Ghatasthapana (September 6). If the situation remains fluid, there is little chance of the stock market opening on that day as well.
It has been closed since Tuesday, Sept. 24, due to the Genji protests.
