Kathmandu. The death toll from the Genji protests across the country has risen to 51.
According to police, 51 people, including 21 Genji protesters, were killed in the protests. Among those killed in the demonstration were 9 inmates, 3 policemen, 1 Indian and others.
More than 400 injured are receiving treatment at various hospitals, police said. Police said they are collecting details of the damage.
