Kathmandu. The US government has issued an official notification to impose an additional 25 percent tariff in India. The tariff will come into effect from 9:30 am IST on Wednesday, August 27( Wednesday).
“Earlier, the tariff rate was 25 per cent and thus a total of 50 per cent tax will be levied in India,” the notice said, adding that any Indian goods coming for use or being taken out of the warehouse on or after August 27 will fall under the purview of this increased tariff. ’
President Donald Trump has said that India is helping Russia in its war against Ukraine by buying crude oil from Russia. While India called Trump’s decision “unfair, unfair and irrational”.
