Federation moves to new central office, urges to work for village-centric economy development

Let’s talk. The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has said that village-centric economy should be given priority for the development of the country’s economy in the coming days. Fnj President Bhagirath Sapkota said the government should give priority to village-centric and Nepali-oriented economy for the development of the country’s economy.

Stating that the Nepali economy is now running by purchasing goods and services with the money brought from remittances sent by the workers who have gone for foreign employment, he said that such an economy would not be sustainable in the future. Stating that the economy is now running with customs-based tax revenue, he opined that in the coming days, we should come out of it and start producing domestic goods and services.

Likewise, CPN-UML standing committee member and in-charge of the people’s organization Bhanubhakta Dhakal said that the FNJ should give suggestions to the party on what kind of business policy the government or party should adopt in the coming days. “The Federation should give its clear opinion on what kind of policy the UML should adopt in the field of industry and business,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the FNCCI office. He also said that the Federation is an association of industrialists associated with the CPN-UML and it will implement the views put forward by the Federation in the field of industrialists.

Earlier, the Federation had shifted its central office located at the National Trading Building at Ramshah Path to CTC Mall in Sundhara. The Federation has constructed a state-of-the-art office and shifted it to the second floor of CTC Mall in Sundhara.

FNCCI President Bhagirath Sapkota presided over the function, which was attended by FNCCI in-charge Rachna Khadka, FNJ office-bearers, secretariat members, central members and other industrialists.
