Kathmandu. Non-life insurers have issued 15,686 agricultural policies in the first month of the current fiscal year. According to the Nepal Insurance Authority, like previous years, more than 95 copies of these policies are related to livestock insurance only this year.

The non-life insurer has collected a total of Rs 159.57 million in insurance premiums in the last one month. Previous fiscal year 2081. Issuing a total of six insurance policies in 1982, the non-life insurer issued a total of seven insurance policies and collected Rs 35,000 as insurance premium.
In the previous fiscal year 2080, the government did not provide the grant amount. In 1981, the number of agricultural insurance policies was negligible due to the suspension of sales.
Although the government has provided 50 to 80 percent insurance subsidy for the promotion of insurance, farmers of paddy, wheat and pulses crops have not been able to benefit from this policy.
