Kathmandu. Four small non-life insurance companies have already published their financial statements for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82. According to the financial statements published by the companies, the net profit has increased by 11 percent this review year compared to the previous year.
In the review year, the companies earned a net profit of Rs 12.89 million. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 11.62 million in the year-ago period.
Profits of two companies increased
The profit of two micro insurance companies has increased in this review year. During this period, the profit of Star and Protective Micro Insurance has increased compared to the previous year. Star Micro Insurance has earned the highest profit in this review year. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 5.3million during the period under review. The company’s profit has increased by 197 percent compared to the previous year.
Protective Micro Insurance has earned a profit of Rs 1.27 million in the review year. The company’s profit has increased by 79 percent compared to the same period last year.
Profit of two decreased
In this review year, the profit of two micro insurance companies has decreased. Trust Micro Insurance has earned a profit of Rs 4.6million in the review year. The company’s profit has decreased by 24 percent compared to the previous year.
Nepal Micro Insurance has earned a profit of Rs 1.65 million in the review year. The company’s profit has decreased by 43 percent compared to the previous year.

On the other hand, in terms of net insurance, the business of companies has increased by 685 percent compared to the previous year. Nepal Micro Insurance has collected the highest amount of net insurance premium. In this review year, the company has collected Rs 76 million in net insurance premium. Compared to the previous year, the company’s net insurance collection is 310 percent higher.
Protective Micro Insurance has collected Rs 56.7 million in net insurance premium in the review year. Compared to the previous year, the company’s net insurance collection has increased by 1098 percent.
Star Micro Insurance has collected Rs 52.9 million in net insurance premium this review year. Compared to the previous year, the company’s net insurance collection is 969 percent higher.
Trust Micro Insurance has collected Rs 45.8 million in net insurance premium this review year. Compared to the previous year, the company’s net insurance collection has increased by 3519 percent.
