Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has clarified that nepse does not advise anyone to buy or sell shares.
Nepse has given such a clarification in a notice today. “For some time now, misleading and unauthorized content related to the stock market, stock tips, recommendations for buying and selling shares, fake videos and audios have been appearing on social media in the name of NEPSE. ’
Nepse has clarified that it will not advise to buy or sell any securities, does not guarantee returns, does not fix the price for buying or selling. “Such materials are completely misleading and unauthorized,” nepse said.
Nepse has been publishing information or press notes through nepse’s website and official social media. “Unauthorized use of NEPSE’s name, running a website with a name similar to NEPSE, creating an app, creating a chat group, etc. are punishable offences,” nepse said. ’
Nepse has also urged not to give personal details on the app or page or group media using nepse’s name, logo or picture of the building. “Do not give your password to anyone,” NEPSE said.
It has also been requested to inform NEPSE through [email protected] with screenshot or link if suspicious material is found.
