Kathmandu. The insurance amount has been handed over to the family of the girl’s guardian who had opened a safe child savings account with Shangri-La Development Bank. Sagar Tripathi, brother of Srishti Tripathi, who had opened an account at Talchowk branch of Shangri-La Development Bank in Pokhara, died in an accident.
Rajiv Poudel, manager of Shangri-La Development Bank’s Talchowk branch, handed over a cheque of Rs 300,000 to Srishti and her mother Shila Tripathi. The amount has now been deposited in the fixed account so that Srishti Tripathi can withdraw it after the age of 18.
According to the provision, the bank will provide Rs 300,000 as insurance in case of the death of the guardian of the person opening a safe child savings account with Shangri-La Development Bank.
