Kathmandu. Non-life insurance companies last fiscal year 2081. In 82, he has brought business worth about Rs 45 billion.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority(NEA), 14 non-life insurance companies and four non-life micro insurance companies earned a total insurance premium of Rs 44.91 billion by selling 3,244,383 insurance policies in the last fiscal year.
In the review year, companies have done the most business of motor insurance. Through motor insurance, the companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 12.90 billion. The share of motor insurance in the total non-life insurance business is 28.74 percent.
Similarly, the second highest number of business companies are seen in property insurance. Through property insurance, the companies have collected a total insurance premium of Rs 11.46 billion. Property insurance accounts for 25.53 percent of the total business.
In the review year, the companies earned Rs 7.98 billion in engineering and contract, Rs 4.94 billion in various sectors, Rs 2.56 billion in marine, Rs 2.34 billion in aviation, Rs 1.73 billion in livestock and agriculture and Rs 970.6 million in micro sector. Engineering and contracting account for 17.77 per cent, miscellaneous 11 per cent, marine 5.71 per cent, hawaii 5.22 per cent, livestock and agriculture 3.87 per cent and micro 2.16 per cent.
