Kathmandu. Sixty-seven percent of Taiwan’s life insurance companies have started using Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This was found during a recent survey conducted by Taiwan’s Financial Observer Commission (FSC). According to the survey, the use of AI in Taiwan’s insurance industry is increasing. According to the survey report, 67 percent of life insurers and 45 percent of property insurers are now using this technology.

This reflects the massive growth in the financial sector. Overall AI usage in Taiwan increased from 29 percent in 2024 to 33 percent.

Insurers mainly use AI for internal operations, customer service and fraud detection. Almost half of AI users have also adopted generative AI. However, there remain concerns about accuracy, data privacy and compliance.

Despite increasing use, most insurers have limited the role of AI in decision-making and regularly monitor system performance. Nearly half of fsc surveyed organizations plan to expand the use of AI. They are deeply interested in the collaborative development of anti-fraud tools and region-specific language models. – Agency
