Kathmandu. The embossed number will be made mandatory in vehicles across the country from September 1.
The decision was taken at a thematic committee meeting chaired by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal on Tuesday. The meeting has decided to install the embossed number compulsorily from September 1.
The meeting also decided to compulsorily install embossed number plates while registering, transferring and renewing vehicles from the Transport Management Offices under all state governments. The meeting also decided to provide technical support to the department for its implementation and effective regulation by mobilizing traffic police in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
