Kathmandu. President Donald Trump is considering plans that could make Americans happy.

According to the news agency Reuters, President Trump is considering giving part of the tariff to the public as dividends. Dividends are the distribution of part of any income to shareholders or other individuals. Here the dividend is to distribute some money to the people from the income earned from tariffs imposed by the US.

However, Trump has not revealed much about it so far.

Which country has the highest tariffs?

Trump’s tariffs are mostly 15 percent in eu and Uk member countries, 10 percent in Japan and only 5 percent in South Korea. On the other hand, the US has announced a 25 percent tariff on India. Which will come into effect on August 7.

Trump also announced tariffs of 35 per cent in Canada, 50 per cent in Brazil, 39 per cent in Switzerland and 20 per cent in Taiwan.

Trump has also signed an executive order on tariffs on those countries. Under this, new import tariffs have been imposed on goods coming from 69 countries and the European Union. Which will come into effect from August 7.

According to the order, Syria tops the list of countries with the highest tariffs with 41 percent. It is followed by Laos and Myanmar at 40 per cent and Iraq and Serbia at 35 per cent.

Talks with China continue

Trump raised tariffs on China by 145 percent. But then the talks went ahead and the two countries agreed to reduce tariffs on each other. However, no agreement has been reached between the two so far.

U.S. officials said they were considering a good trade deal. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant recently told CNBC about this.
