Kathmandu. RUPANDEHI: NMB Bank has organized a tree plantation programme at Tilottama Park in Tilottama Municipality of Rupandehi as part of its corporate social responsibility. Around 200 fruit saplings including dragon fruit, mango, aap, litchi and cutter have been planted in the park.
Chief Executive Officer of NMB Bank Govinda Ghimire inaugurated the tree plantation program. Nmb Bank is working with priority for environment-friendly and environment protection under sustainable development, he added.
Nmb Bank has been carrying out tree plantation and environmental cleanliness campaigns in all seven provinces of the country to avoid the negative impact of climate change. Stating that nmb bank has made all its banking transactions and loan investments to prioritize green economy or ‘greenomics’ i.e. environment-friendly, sustainable and inclusive development, he said that nmb bank has adopted environmental protection, promotion of clean energy and climate adaptation along with nepal’s economic growth.
Chairman of Tilottama Ward No. 6, Ganesh Pathak, expressed gratitude to NMB Bank for planting trees by cutting the Tilottama Park of Tilottama Municipality.
Tilottama Park Chair Deepak Pathak said that they are working to make Tilottama Park located in Tilottama Municipality the best and a center of attraction for all.
