Kathmandu. The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has formed 19 different committees, councils and forums to work on a sectoral basis. The committees formed by the Confederation include Industry Committee, Revenue Committee, Make in Nepal Swadeshi Committee, Global Business and Diaspora Committee, Infrastructure Committee, Banking and Finance Committee, Tourism Committee, Agriculture and Map Committee, Province and District Coordination Committee, Membership Committee, Certificate of Origin Committee, Education and Skills Committee and Health Council. Similarly, employers’ council, energy development council, information technology council, CEO’s forum, women leadership forum, startup and youth entrepreneur forum have been formed.
The confederation has also elected the presidents and vice-presidents of the committees. President of the Confederation Birendra Raj Pandey handed over the nomination papers to the presidents and vice-presidents of the committees, councils and forums formed at a function held at the Confederation Secretariat on Sunday.
On the occasion, Chairman Pandey expressed the belief that the committees would work responsibly for the overall economic development of the country by giving clear policy suggestions to the government and regulatory bodies, promoting entrepreneurs. He said the confederation would work effectively for the next two years with the support of the committees.
Rahul Agrawal and Guru Adhikari have been elected as vice-presidents, Gopal Agrawal as revenue committee president, Deepak Kumar Agrawal and Sheshmani Dahal as vice presidents, Hitesh Golchha as agriculture and map committee president, Prashi Agrawal as make in Nepal swadeshi committee president, Bidushi Rana as vice president, Chandra Chandan as global business and diaspora committee president and Varna Neupane as vice president, Ram Krishna Khatiwada as infrastructure committee president and Basanta Chand as vice president. Barun Kumar Todi as chairman of banking and finance committee, Pampha Dhamala as tourism committee president, Ashok Pokharel and Romi Aryal as vice presidents, Lekhraj Pokharel as state and district coordination committee president and Pawan Kumar Sharda as vice president, Gaurav Sharda as membership committee president, Akash Golchha as certificate of origin committee president, Ashish Jajodia as education and skills committee president, Yash Agrawal as vice president, Manish Khemka as health committee president. Ashish Agrawal has been elected as the vice-president.
Likewise, Dhruba Rijal has been elected as the President of the Employers Council, Ashish Garg as the President of the Energy Development Council, Sanjeev Neupane as the Vice President, Sanjay Golchha as the President of the Information Technology Council, Harkirat Singh Bedi as the President of the CEO’s Forum, Bidushi Rana as the President of the Women Leadership Forum, Aashrata Karki as the Vice President, Anurag Goyal as the President of startup and Youth Entrepreneurs Forum and Ashish Agrawal as the Vice President.
Vice-presidents Rohit Gupta, Gokul Bhandari, office-bearers Sandeep Sharda, Prashi Agrawal, Vidushi Rana, Director General Dr. Dipu Moni were present on the occasion. Ghanshyam Ojha was also present.
