Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank The process of printing new notes of 50 rupees has been started.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) today invited international bids. It has urged interested companies to offer to print new 50 rupee notes. The central bank will print 420 million new notes.
Interested companies will have to submit their bid proposals by September 7. The bid has to be submitted to the Rastra Bank’s Thapathal-based Banking Department.
Eligible companies will have to deposit Rs 20,000 or USD 146 or 126 euros or 109 pounds while submitting the proposal.
The companies selected by the Rastra Bank will have to work on the design, printing and supply of notes.
