Kathmandu. Internet and TV service provider Vianet Communication Limited has appointed veteran banker Parshuram Kunwar Chhetri as an independent director on its board of directors. Chhetri, who is considered to be a skilled and experienced personality in the banking and financial sector, has joined the board of Vianet as per the decision of the board of directors of the company.
Chhetri started his career in 1986 with the then Grindlays Bank (now Standard Chartered Bank). After that, he held senior positions in Nepal Bank, Citizens Bank International and Bank of Asia. Chhetri has served as chief executive officer of Janata Bank and Global IME Bank. Chhetri retired as ceo of Global IME Bank in 2020.
Welcoming veteran banker Parshuram Kunwar Chhetri to the board, Vianet Communication Limited expressed the belief that his accumulated experience in various fields for more than three decades will help the company move towards stronger and sustainable development in the days to come.
