Kathmandu. Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) has been honoured with the Best Annual Report Award 2024 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN). Chief Executive Officer of The Company Praveen Raman Parajuli and Deputy CEO Amit Kumar Kayal jointly received the award from The Honorable Auditor General Toyam Raya at a program organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) at Hotel Madison on Friday.
The company has been awarded the Silver Award in the life insurance category. In the life insurance group, Nepal Life Insurance’s annual financial report for the fiscal year 2080/81 has been awarded for the best. Nepal Life Insurance is the first company among life insurance companies to receive this award. The award shows that the company’s financial reports are excellent, disclosures are adequate, financial reports have been prepared in line with national and international standards, financial transparency, accountability and institutional good governance.
On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the company Praveen Raman Parajuli said that he was proud to receive this award and added the responsibility of doing better. The company, which has about 30 percent market share of the Nepali life insurance industry, has always been performing its work keeping financial transparency, accountability and good governance at its center and expressed its commitment to continue it in the days to come.
Chief Executive Officer Parajuli thanked the chairman and directors of the board of directors who provided guidance to the company, the insurers who trusted the company, the agents who formed the backbone of the company, the company’s employees, shareholders, regulatory bodies and all other stakeholders who supported the company.
