Kathmandu. The Health Insurance Board, which is running the health insurance program, has implemented a provision that the participants of the insurance program have to renew one month before the expiry of the renewal period.
The Board has requested the general public to renew the insurance policy of the citizens associated with the health insurance program issued since July 15 as per the provisions of the Procedure 2082 BS.
According to the Board, the policy will be automatically canceled if it is not renewed through online payment or through the registration assistant one month before the completion of the insurance period.

The concerned service providers have to submit the prescribed documents and apply for renewal compulsorily.
According to the board, after this, the insured will have to renew by paying a fine if the deadline is not renewed within the stipulated time.
In order to encourage the continuation of the association with the health insurance program, the board has also made arrangements to provide discount on co-payment on the basis of regular renewal. Provisions related to exemption have been included in Section 7 of the procedure.
