Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has made the market depth of nepse website available for the purchase and sale order as per the demand of the general investors.
Nepse believes that this will address the complaints of investors that they have not been able to buy and sell due to lack of shares. There is a provision regarding ad lot transaction in the Securities Transaction Bye-laws, 2075 BS. Accordingly, the face value of securities is Rs. 100 units if 10, face value Rs. 10 units if 100 and face value is Rs. A transaction of 1000 units is called a board lot.
The bye-laws define the transaction of less than the mentioned units as odd-lot transactions. Ad lot transactions are not included in price change limits and market index calculations.
There is a provision in the bye-laws that the securities owners cannot divide the securities in the board lot and make the ad lot.
