Kathmandu. fiscal year 2081. A total of 17 companies, including six insurers, have got permission to issue right shares.
The Securities Board of Nepal has given permission to six insurance companies and 11 hydropower companies to issue right shares. Life Insurance Corporation (LIC Nepal), NLG Insurance, Neco Insurance, Sun Nepal Life, Asian Life and Nepal Insurance have been allowed to issue right shares.
Among these insurers, asian life’s right sale is being opened and Nepal Insurance will be issued from July 15. The remaining licensed insurers have already issued the rights.
Similarly, Liberty Energy, Balefi Hydropower, Ngadi Group Power, Dordi Khola Hydropower, Chyangdi Hydropower, Terhathum Power, Rapti Hydro, People’s Power, Barun Hydropower, Joshi Hydropower and Khanikhola Hydropower have been allowed to bring the rights.
Among the hydropower companies, Barun Hydropower, People’s Power and Terhathum Power are currently issuing rights while Joshi Hydropower will open the sale from July 15. The remaining licensed hydropower companies have already issued the rights.

The Securities Board of Nepal has approved the issuance of 154.17 million units of right shares to these 17 companies. The companies will raise Rs 15.41 billion by selling these right shares.
There are still 15 companies in the pipeline of the Securities Board. These include four insurance companies and seven hydropower companies. The rest of the companies belong to other groups.
