Kathmandu. The Immigration Office at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has implemented the ‘Integrated Accountability Framework, 2082 BS’ for its employees from Today.
The office has prepared and implemented this framework to make them accountable for their work. The framework clearly mentions the work, duties and rights of the employee.
The framework specifies who will be primarily responsible for any errors or problems at work and who will be the ultimate accountability. The framework also provides for action from the office by categorizing the departure of Nepali citizens, arrival and stay of foreign nationals and procedural errors into three areas.
Regarding departure of Nepali citizens
If the passengers who do not complete the required documents return after getting the departure permission, the officer assigned to the desk will be the primary responsible and the senior immigration officer who is the supervisor will be the final accountability. The office will investigate them and take action against them.
Similarly, if found traveling using fake or fake documents, the Immigration Office will be able to take action according to the Code of Criminal Procedure by making the concerned person as well as the manpower and consultancy involved in it as the primary responsibility.
If the banned person is found traveling, the Immigration Office can send a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal by making the concerned airline company responsible.

If a person who is barred from entering Nepal gets a visa or arrival permit, the permission officer will have to be responsible. The office can also take action against the officer who sends a letter to the Immigration Department and issues the visa to deport such foreigners as per the law.
Foreign nationals staying for a long time without renewing their visas will be renewed by the Department of Immigration only after paying fees, late fees and fines as per the law or can be deported with the approval of the Ministry.

According to the framework, if the passenger comes out without conducting an arrival raid, if the passenger is put on hold for a long time and the flight is affected, then only enters the system without stamping the passport, if the visa fee is entered without paying the visa fee in the bank or if the visa is tampered with or the stamp is not understood, then the concerned immigration officer will be the primary responsibility and the senior immigration officer will be the final accountability. In these cases, the Immigration Office can make arrangements to take action according to the standard action and if the service seeker is guilty, then the action process can be taken according to the law.
