Kathmandu. The government has decided to provide up to Rs 200,000 to the insured associated with the health insurance program for the treatment of some complex diseases.
Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel has said that patients suffering from eight critical diseases will get rs 200,000, including Rs 100,000 for treatment. According to Poudel, the government has increased this facility to relieve the sufferings of the citizens who are facing problems due to not being able to meet the expenses for health treatment due to severe disease.
According to Minister Poudel, arrangements have been made to provide treatment up to Rs 200,000 to eight types of patients through the health insurance program as per the government’s prior commitment.
According to Minister Poudel, patients suffering from cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, head injury, spinal injury, sickle cell anemia, Parkinsonism and Alzheimer’s will get this facility under the health insurance. The ministry had written to the Health Insurance Board in this regard.
A meeting of the Insurance Board held on Tuesday decided to provide medical services up to Rs 200,000 to eight critical patients.
