Kathmandu. The Miteri bridge at the northern border point connecting Nepal and China was damaged on Tuesday morning due to flooding in the Bhotekoshi River due to incessant rain on the northern neighboring Side of China.
According to a notice issued by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, gosaikunda rural municipality in Rasuwa district will be closed at around 3:15 am. The Miteri bridge connecting Nepal and China at Rasuwagadhi has been damaged.
Similarly, some cargo containers were washed away in a flood at the customs yard at Timure in the same ward around 4 am on Tuesday.
No human casualty has been reported due to the floods, the NRA said.
The NRA has urged all the citizens living in the low-lying coastal areas to stay safe as the water level in the river is still high.
