Kathmandu. At least 51 people have been killed in flash floods in Texas. There are also 15 children in it. The Texas administration has deployed a large number of rescue workers for relief and rescue operations.
Kerr County, Texas, has been the worst affected by flooding. Floods have killed 43 people in the region and 27 girls are missing from a Christian youth camp on the banks of the Gwadalupe River.
Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick said most of the 27 missing girls were under the age of 12.
Kerr County Sheriff Larry L. Letha said authorities will continue the search operation until each person is found. So far, 850 people have been rescued.
Deaths have also been confirmed in other parts of the state, including Travis County and Tom Green County. Flash flood warnings will continue in many areas until this weekend.
Us President Donald Trump said his administration was working closely with local authorities to deal with the emergency.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of more rain in the region. Due to this, there is a possibility of flooding.
