Kathmandu. Nepal Engineering College (NEC) and Nepalli Architects Society (SONA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for conducting educational and professional activities. The educational partnership between NEK and Sona is expected to further enrich the educational and professional activities in NEK.
College Principal Durga Prasad Bhandari and SONA Chairman Ishwar Lal Joshi signed the MoU. College Principal Durga Prasad Bhandari said that as per the agreement, the doors of cooperation will be opened in research, workshops, seminars and student engagement programs in the college.
According to the MoU, innovation in engineering and architecture will be promoted, skill development programs, sustainable and practical design will be promoted, relations between industry and academia will be strengthened and interactions and conversations will be conducted between expert speakers for student learning.
The MoU is an important step towards enhancing the quality of engineering and architecture education in Nepal. The college, which operates as a non-profit social educational institution, has been collaborating with various educational institutions for the learning of engineering and architecture students.
