Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Bishwanath Poudel owns more than 1.5 million units of shares.
This has been seen from the property details submitted by Governor Poudel to the Office of the Governor of the Rastra Bank. According to the report, he has 1,536,589 units of shares of seven companies. The value of these shares is Rs 145 million 67 thousand 200.
According to the property statement, Governor Poudel has the highest number of 500,000 units of founder shares of Joint Energy Hydropower. Similarly, he holds 250,000 units of founder shares of Chitwan Energy, 244,000 units of founder shares in Sanima Bank, 188,000 units of founder shares of Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower, 186,834 units of founder shares of Globeco Pvt Ltd and 92,579 units of ordinary shares of Sanima Mai Hydropower.
Governor Poudel’s wife Pratibha Sharma owns 75,000 units of founder shares of Globeco Pvt Ltd. All these shares have been purchased from ancestral property and self-income.
Similarly, Governor Poudel has Rs 1.58 million and $66.78 million in three bank accounts. Poudel’s wife Pratibha has Rs 486,000 and USD 4,446.58 in three bank accounts. The money in the accounts of both of them is self-acquired.
In Lalitpur and Nawalparasi, houses and land are in the name of all talents. Governor Poudel has revealed in the property statement that the construction of the house and the purchase of land were done through ancestral and self-income.
According to the property statement, Pratibha has about 45 tolas and diamond ornaments worth Rs 1.5 million in her name. Gold is said to be ancestral and diamond ornaments are self-acquired.
