This notification will not be applicable to foreign students and those appearing in the university’s professional MBBS examination. Their educational program will continue as usual.

Bangladesh Medical College is a favorite destination for Nepali students due to its relatively cheap and quality medical education. A significant number of Nepali students are studying here.

Abdullah Al Noman, a fourth-year student of the medical college, told a Daily Star correspondent that they would not comply with the authority’s decision to vacate the hall and would continue their protest. He said, “The old academic building and for male students. Fazle Rabbi Hostel and Dr. Alim Chaudhary women’s hostels are in critical condition and are no longer suitable for educational or residential use.

Student organisations have been boycotting MBBS classes since May 28, demanding maintenance and involvement of students in this work, saying that the physical structure of the buildings of the hostel is very weak and may lead to accidents.
