Kathmandu. Three people, including a former employee of United India Insurance, have been sentenced to five years in jail for their involvement in insurance fraud.
Ahmedabad: A special CBI court in Ahmedabad on Thursday sentenced a former employee of an insurance company and two others involved in insurance fraud to jail. Those sentenced to jail are Kikubhai Dhodi, the then assistant of The Silvassa branch of United India Insurance, and two others, Vasantbhai Patel and Apoorva Patel.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 3.53 million on the three accused. The court found that they had hatched a criminal conspiracy for insurance fraud and caused financial loss to the company.
